How to lose Weight Without Spending a lot of Money

When you’re on a diet you don’t need to join an expensive weight loss plan in order to get great results.  It’s easy to get those pounds off just by yourself if you put your mind to it and use some common sense.  I have lost over 60 pounds using just some simple common sense and developing a good diet by doing some research online.  I even saved money while on my diet compared to what I spend when I normally eat.  Here are some tips that I found that will really help you lose weight.

Water, Water and more Water

You should try and drink as much water as possible.  I try to drink two to three liters of water a day.  Drinking water makes you feel less hungry all the time.  This means that you will eat a lot less as your stomach is full!  If you have trouble drinking water try adding a little lemon juice to it to give it some great flavor.

Portions and Five Meals

This may as somewhat of a surprise to many people but a great way too loose weight is to eat five meals a day instead of three.  Your portions at the meals though should be much smaller – a cup or two of food at most.  People do not need more food than that, and if you are eating extra food you are just going to gain weight.  Trust me it works!

Walk, Run and Get Off Your Butt

This should not come as a surprise to anyone but a great way to help your body lose weight is to do something about it.  No I don’t mean diet or see a doctor, I mean do something – like walk, run or even just get off your butt and do things.  Doing exercise allows your body to burn stored fat and you will start losing weight rapidly if you exercise and diet at the same time.

Get Support

When on a diet you should tell your friends and family.  It’s a good thing to have support when on a weight loss plan, and even a better thing if you often eat with friends and family.  Having other people help you come up with meals and hold you accountable while on a diet will help you succeed.  It’s also a good idea to have an exercise buddy so you won’t have to go on your walks or runs on your own.

Vegetables are good

When losing weight try and eat as many vegetables and fruits as possible.  Vegetables and fruits are very low in fat content and very high in water content.  Eating these will help you stay full but make sure you lose those extra pounds quickly and easy.

White Meats Please

If you’re a fan of eating meats make sure you eat white meats like pork, turkey and chicken.  Red meats are often having a very high fat content and white meats tend to be very lean.  Just make sure if you eat chicken to remove the skin as it’s a very fattening food.  Also make sure you are not using grease to cook your meats, try to grill or bake them and avoid the breading and frying as well.

Things To Avoid

When your losing weight its common sense avoid breads, creams and junk foods.  This means you should not be having sandwiches all the time, try wraps instead.  Also avoid drinking lots of milk, and putting lots of cheese and creams on your food.  Also it should just be common sense but it needs to be said anyway – avoid eating junk food.  Even though junk food often provides emotional support its not going to support you in losing weight.

Common Sense and Good Luck

Remember if you’re going to lose weight all you need to succeed is some basic common sense.  You don’t need to join an expense weight loss program, you can find things to eat on your own and usually you save money eating healthy food if you’re willing to make it yourself.  It’s not as difficult as those weight loss programs make it out to be and if you do it on your own you will be much prouder of what you accomplished.  Good luck with loosing those pounds and I know you can do it!

Lift Weights.

Lifting weights will boost your metabolism so it will help to burn calories quicker.  It also helps to build muscles and make you look leaner and more toned. To get you motivated exercising, try to team up with a friend who is willing to exercise with you. You will see that it’s not only much more fun, but a great way to keep each other accountable.

This sounds very sensible. I have about 30 to 35 pounds to lose, so I’m going to follow your advice and see what happens. Thank you.
